Starring

The Amazing Vagina Warriors

Directed by

Laura Ruhl

The Vagina Monologues, an award-winning play, is part of the National V-Day Campaign, a global movement to end violence against women and girls. It is based on Founder/playwright Eve Ensler's interviews with more than 200 women of all ages and stages of life. With humor and grace the piece celebrates women's sexuality and strength. Through this play and the reclaiming of this one word, countless women throughout the world have found empowerment in their bodies and in their lives. For more than twelve years, The Vagina Monologues has given voice to the humanity of women.

This V-Day benefit performance of The Vagina Monologues will support Sexuality Education and Counseling Services (SECS) in providing comprehensive sexuality education to schools who otherwise would not receive this invaluable and life changing information due to lack of funding and resources.

Being that true sexuality education begins with the parent/child connection SECS offers pre/postnatal services including prenatal yoga. The self-awareness that is encouraged through the practice of yoga plays an integral role in creating a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, a portion of the proceeds will also fund a prenatal yoga program for pregnant teens.

SECS is a young and growing organization seeking opportunities to partner with local organizations to help promote their mission throughout LI. We hope that you will join us for this special event to support our cause to help expand our programs and services.
